Refunds and returns of unwanted items-

All returns must be made within 30 days of purchase.

At the time of sale your assistant will endeavour to help you make an informed decision before finalising your purchase.

It is your responsibility to check your quotation or invoice and ensure size, quantity and finish are correct at the time of purchase. Where relevant we would always encourage careful measuring prior to purchase. If you are using an electrician for your installation it is also your responsibility to check and ensure the goods are suitable for the job before purchase.

Should you have a change of heart we try to be as accommodating as possible and in general we are happy to accept returns of orders below a ticket value of £100 providing they are returned to the showroom in the original packaging, in the same condition in which they were purchased within 30 days of purchase.

Unwanted orders exceeding a ticket value of £100 will incur a minimum handling charge of 25%.

All refunds and credit notes for unwanted items are given at the discretion of showroom staff.

Light bulbs:

We are more than happy for ordinary stock light bulbs to be returned within 14 days of purchase providing they are in the original packaging and in the same condition in which they were purchased.

Special orders:

An item not featured on display in the showroom will be considered as a special order. A special order may be returned within 30 days of purchase but will be subject to a minimum of 25% handling charge irrespective of value.

Special orders - Astro Lighting:

All Astro Lighting special orders and chargeable samples must be returned within 7 working days from the date of delivery to the showroom. This is due to the very strict nature of Astro’s own returns policy. If we are notified of a change of heart after this period we will be unable to accept return of the product without imposing a minimum of 50% handling charge.

Handmade items:

We are unable to accept any returns of made-to-order items; this includes Temple and Ivy, Curiousa and Curiousa, David Hunt Lighting, The Light Shade Studio, Original BTC/Davey, made to order NUD or bespoke orders of LED strip.

Ex-display Fittings:

Ex-display fittings are sold as seen without warranty and are non-returnable.

Cancellations:

Once a sale has been processed it will then become subject to the above conditions. If for any unforeseen circumstance your item does not arrive within the anticipated time frame you will be entitled to a full refund, again subject to the above conditions.

Project Quotations and Orders:

Large quantity project orders will be considered on an individual basis and terms will be laid out at the time of agreeing to your quotation. It is your responsibility to ensure all quantities are correct at the time of ordering as we will not be able to accept return of items surplus to requirement.

We cannot under any circumstances accept returns of unwanted fittings that have been fitted and/or installed.

We ask that when returning items packaging remains intact and not defaced in any way. This includes ensuring that ALL PACKAGING is free from writing or other markings and if sealed is only sealed with a CLEAR tape.

 

We reserve the right to refuse returned items in torn or soiled packaging.

 

Faulty or damaged items-

On the rare occasion items are found to be physically damaged please return the items within 7 days of collection, should you be unable to return the items promptly we will require notification along with photographic evidence sent to us within 7 days of collection.

County Lights cannot undertake to replace physically damaged items outside of this time period. 

Items returned as faulty will be sent back to their relevant supplier to determine whether a warranty repair or replacement is applicable. There is a minimum of 12 months electrical warranty with all fittings and LED light bulbs unless otherwise stated.

This policy is offered in addition to your statutory rights.
